So we did it! 4 months to plan the big day and it was FAB!
Firstly – the fitness regime paid off the dress fitted!!! I actually loved my training sessions and now we are back to porridge I am going to keep up the good work!!!! (From 10 stone to 9 stone in 2 months! Thanks to Mick at Live Life NI!!!)
So, I have been involved in so many weddings and I did think I would avoid the last half hour of hysteria before going out the door of my family home – not so much! It was hectic! Makeup was thrown on, as was the dress and we were out the door, in the car and off to the church! Up until that mad half hour before we had been having a great wee time! Mum cooked a feast and there was good craic with the girls! My poor but amazing bridesmaid had to leave to go and sort out the drama at the church hall! At this stage I have to say that Roz was just a star and I would have been lost without her – there were a lot of fires to be put out that morning.
Once we got to the church the day just flew by and it was perfect! All the stress of the morning was quickly forgotten.
After the service we had afternoon tea in the parish halls and then off to Montalto Estate for a feast! I really couldn’t speak more highly of David Anderson and his team at Montalto. Special mention to Yellow Door who created a menu that was just out of this world!
It was a super day with all our friends and family!
So just a wee thank you to all that helped – to the team that created stunning bouquets and flower arrangements (Floral Earth), supplied ladders (Drumfad Decorating), took wonderful photos (David Cavan) baked buns (lots of fab pals), beautifully presented the sweet treats and were in charge of the tea and coffee (the catering team at Ballycrochan! esp John and Joy!) made sandwiches (Sunflower, Bangor), macaroons (J Bird), cupcakes (Lizzie Scott, Debbies Cupcakes) cake pops AND wedding cake (Sweet Thing) and to all who gave us beautiful and generous gifts, it was totally overwhelming and as we start out in this new chapter we appreciate your continued prayers and support.
